A wonderful blue sky looking over a sunlit lake. I honestly do not remember where I took this photo. We were traveling on the Blue Ridge Parkway headed home from a camping trip. We stopped for lunch and had such a wonderful picnic spot. The peacefulness of the surroundings made me think of a quote from Calvin Coolidge Don t you know that four fifths of all our troubles in this life would disappear if we would just sit down and keep still Good advice just think about it If you sit down and keep still you tend to think before you talk and act. If you sit down and keep still you can hear what others are telling you. If you sit down and keep still you can hear the voice of God giving you direction. If you sit down and keep still you are less likely to get in trouble. If you sit down and keep still you would have time to get into God.s word. There is as verse in the Bible I really like It is Be still and know that I am God
Yes, Calvin Coolidge had that right. When was the last time you set down and kept still? When was the last time you listened to your Creator, the One who is your refuge? How did you feel afterwards?
