Description
This was taken on a clear afternoon while we were camping along the coast of NC. The clouds and sky were much like a painting. So I took and put a painting like affect creating this piece of art work that shows the splendid sky above.
1 Peter 1:1-2 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ,
To God’s elect, exiles scattered throughout the provinces of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia, 2 who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to be obedient to Jesus Christ and sprinkled with his blood:
Grace and peace be yours in abundance.
Philippians 3:20 20 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ
“God’s elect” are exiles and scattered. They have been chosen, they are obedient, and they have been cleansed with the blood of Christ. When one is exiled they wander in anticipation of their homeland. When one has been exiled it means they have chosen to live differently away from the mainstream and apart from the norm. They have chosen this life through an action that they committed. God gave Peter the words to write so that we today and the Christians of long ago would learn, and understand the type of life God wanted us to live. It is much easier to follow the pattern of the world, but the results are not as satisfying. The results will not render you an abundant life. The result may be abundance of things, but to have an abundant life we need to be able to strip away our worldly possessions and still live in abundance. Are you living in abundance or are you just living with an abundance of things.
