Ocean Isle is a small town in North Carolina with less than 600 residents located between Myrtle Beach SC and Wilmington, NC. The city is the entire small barrier island. The city has 3.4 square miles of land and 1.2 square miles of water. I have never been to this beach in the summer, but my family and I go every year sometime between Christmas and New Year. When my kids were young and still lived at home, we would always go for New Years'. The beach runs east and west so you can witness both the sunset and the sunrise on this beach, and so I enjoy going out both times of the day.
